Can the Arthritis Bracelet Help Arthritis?
Arthritis is a condition that affects over 70 million people in the United States alone. The condition is caused by an inflammation in the joints. Arthritis occurs when the cartilage in the joints begins to breakdown and wears away. When the cartilage in the joints starts to wear away, the bones in the joints start to grind against each other. This grinding can cause pain, swelling, and stiffness in the joints. This inflammation is arthritis. Unless the person affected has experienced an injury in the affected area, it is difficult to pinpoint the exact cause of arthritis. It can be caused by a number of things. While there currently is no cure for arthritis, there is treatment available to decrease the affects of arthritis.
One of the treatments for arthritis is the arthritis bracelet. The arthritis bracelet contains copper, a mineral that is believed to strengthen the muscular system and have an anti-inflammatory effect on the body. When a person wears the bracelet, some of the copper is absorbed through the skin into the body. The body is able to use the copper absorbed from the bracelet to reduce the effects of arthritis. Small studies have shown that wearing a copper arthritis bracelet can indeed reduce the effects of arthritis pain, swelling, and stiffness. There are some skeptics of the ability of the arthritis bracelet to aid in arthritis relief. This skepticism is sometimes countered with the argument that doctors also prescribe medications containing copper to patients who experience muscle cramps and twitching due to arthritis.
Although it is not a proven fact of the bracelet’s ability to relieve arthritis symptoms, it definitely can’t hurt to test to see if the bracelet will provide relief for arthritis symptoms. The patient doesn’t need to purchase a specific arthritis bracelet, as long as the bracelet that is used is made of copper.
